Info: Waterfowl Labs, LLC is a full-time professional hunting retriever training kennel. We train retrievers to hunt waterfowl, upland game, and prepare them for hunt tests as well. Along with hunting retriever training, we also offer obedience training for pets and boarding. We are a family owned business with limited space, therefore, we only accept a small number of dogs, which will also allow us to ensure proper and adequate training for your dogs advancement, so please contact us in advance to reserve a training or boarding spot for your dog. On-Line Retrievers - Dog Training Programs
Gun Dog Training Program:
Retrievers: Approx 12 week program. Emphasis on obedience and retrieving skills. This program concentrates on both upland and waterfowl.
Pointers: Approx 12 week dog training program. Emphasis on obedience, retrieving and pointing skills.
The training process we use is versatile to all types and breeds of dogs with us being able to modify the training for each dog as an individual. Our training methods are intended to promote dogs that are confident and stylish. We help each dog to learn good habits and to prevent the bad habits. Our goal is to bring out the fullest potential of each dog.
Ages: 6 months and up.
Hunt Test & Field Trial Yard Program:
This program is designed for the serious Hunt Test enthusiast and Field Trialer with the goal of placing or winning in todays Trials. A solid Yard Program is the basis for all successful trial dogs at any level.
This program is also designed for the Hunter who needs that extra special Handling Gun Dog.
The Yard Program is designed for each dog on an individual basis. 4-6 month program.
Ages: 6 months and up.
All Breed Obedience:
On-Leash: 4 week program.
Off-Leash: 8 week program.
Our Obedience Program is designed for your dog on an individual basis. The basic training commands that are used in training include: Heel, Sit, Here, Down, Ok, Quiet and No.
Obedience Training is the foundation for solving most problems you are having with your pet. Obedience Training allows you to communicate with your dog so he/she can understand what is expected.
An obedient dog learns self control, manners and is confident. Your obedient pet will be a true pleasure to have around as a part of your family.
Ages 6 months and up
Puppy Program: Give your Pup a HEAD START!!
This 2 week Puppy Kindergarten program offers extensive socialization with the introduction to firearms, birds and water to give your Pup a head start. We also work on retrieving skills and building a strong human bond that will help later on in training.
Pups will not stay in our kennel buildings with the adult dogs. We welcome young pups into our home to continue with housebreaking, continue building the human bond and to avoid any stress from leaving home. Limited openings available in our home.
Ages: 8 weeks - 6 months
Refresher Course:
Our Refresher Course is designed for your dog on an individual basis. We work on obedience commands, retrieving birds and any problem areas. We also work on building up your dog's endurance so your dog is ready for the hunting season. |
